Onion and Goat’s Cheese Tart
1 x 22cm par baked short crust tart shell
1 x 300g jar of Heritage Preserves’ Onion Jam
150g soft curd goat’s cheese (Heidi Goats cheese is perfect for this)
1 tbsp thyme leaves
1 cup cream or milk
Prepare the tart shell. Place the onion jam in the tart shell and scatter over the cheese in small blobs. Then scatter over the thyme leaves. Beat the eggs lightly and add the cream. Pour this over the tart contents being sure not to overflow the tart. Bake in a 200C oven until the filling is set and has taken on a light colour. Serve warm with a salad.
