“From Farrow to Feast”
Jindong Free Range Pork is raised and produced on our family farm in Jindong (located between Busselton and Cowaramup). Our pigs are a composite breed of Berkshire, Saddle Back and Duroc. The Berkshire is said to be the Waygu of the pork world with a good marbling of fat through the meat.
The pigs enjoy over 100sqm of land (per pig!), they are rotationally grazed on pasture and additionally fed a locally sourced diet of special pig mix with all the vitamins and minerals a pig requires. They also get their fair share of waste potatoes, pumpkins, avocados, milk and eggs from us or local farmers when available.
Our pigs are processed in a small family run facility on a local farm in Jindong by a butcher/chef called Steve. James works closely with Steve to get the most out of each carcass and they have some delicious fun experimenting with new pork recipes. James is passionate about being directly involved in the whole journey “from farrow to feast”.
All of our products contain 100% Jindong Free Range Pork. Our small goods are all natural cures with salt, sugar, smoke and are chemical free.
Our philosophy is for customers to eat local, knowing and appreciating where their food comes from, to get to know their farmer, cook with the whole carcass and enjoy good quality, humanely treated pork that also tastes amazing.
Love from the farm
